The stars shine bright in the Basque Country! With 33 Michelin Stars across 23 restaurants, the Basque Country maintains its stardom. It is the region with the highest concentration of Michelin stars per inhabitant, and San Sebastian and its surrounding area shine particularly brightly with 16 stars.  Suns also illuminate our cuisine! The Repsol Guide has awarded 107 Suns to a total of 71 establishments in the Basque Country. In 2021 Eneko Atxa was awarded the very first Sustainable Sun of the Repsol Guide, a shining example of commitment to local produce and respect for the local surroundings and the environment.
